• SEWA Bank will be part of the needs assessment in each country to determine the extent of financial inclusion and integration of poor women in each nation.
  • It will also identify local microfinance organizations and establish a working relationship with them to develop action plans as per their need. The plans will include promotion of savings and credit, pension, insurance and financial literacy.
  • It will offer capacity-building inputs both in-country and through exchange visits between women in the countries involved and their SEWA counterparts in India.
  • By the end of the project period, it will have helped local organizations to have a clear direction vis-à-vis developing their own microfinance programmes and even organizations. It will also facilitate linkages with organizations which will support microfinance development, like Women's World Banking (WWB) in New York.
